Happy Mother’s Day

How can you thank someone for a lifetime of love?

It’s easy! As a child we pick flowers on the way home from school (dandelions or lilacs will do) and make a card with a box of 64 of Crayola’s finest colors.

Well, it is still that easy. Send a card, pick-up the phone – just do it!

Mother’s Day is NOT simply a Hallmark holiday. It is a day set aside to acknowledge all that your mother has done for you. The lessons taught, the examples set, the car pools driven and the support given. It’s a day to say, “I love you” or “I appreciate you.” And believe me we like the accolades!

There are lots of different mom’s in our lives. Grandmas that stepped in to take care of us, friend’s moms who included you in their family or neighbors with an open door policy and snacks on the ready.  Mother’s Day is important for all moms.

Whether your children are young or grown, adopted, fostered, four-legged, or unofficially part of the fold – Thank you for dealing so gracefully with the good, bad, ugly and just plain disgusting that comes with motherhood.

So, on Sunday, May 8th celebrate the moms in your life. A simple gesture of love will go a long way. And possibly a glass or two of wine.

Wedding Websites

Almost unheard of 5 plus years ago, many brides and grooms are finding that creating a wedding website is a very helpful way of providing information to their guests as well as saving them money on numerous accessory cards in their wedding invitations. Hotel accommodations, guest transportation, things to do and sights to see can be listed. A website can also explain the attire for the wedding and any other associated events. The website can be included on either save-the-dates or as a dedicated website card in the wedding invitation. If you are considering a wedding website, please make sure that the web address is short and memorable. A custom URL may be a small uncharge, but if you’re going to spend money on any aspect of your website, we would highly suggest spending it here.

Some of our favorite wedding website vendors are Appy Couple (which specifically designs for cross use on mobile devices), Wedding JoJo, and The Knot. With lots of designs available, there’s something for every style and budget.

Spring has Sprung!

in Just-

luscious
E.E. Cummings sets the tone for spring, especially spring in the mountains! The melting snow, puddles and mud make way for the crocus, grass and green returning to the landscape.

Spring also brings a plethora of holidays. The festivities begin on Thursday, March 17th with Saint Patrick’s Day celebrating Irish culture. We all wear green (lest we be pinched) as a symbol of the “Emerald Isle” but perhaps the suggestion of spring is also in the back of everyone’s mind.

Easter, particularly early this year (Sunday, March 27th), is the second spring holiday and the most representative of re-birth. Also, who can resist egg hunts and Easter basket filled with chocolate bunnies?! Easter also brings us pastel colors to warm up the cool winter whites.

Thirdly, we have Passover which begins on Friday, April 22nd and has its own symbols of spring. A “mud-luscious” world starts to warm up this time of year. The colors brighten and the moods lighten and everyone comes out of hibernation.
